About New Horizon Independent Study
New Horizon Independent Study is a flexible learning option offered through Willits Unified School District for students and families seeking an alternative to the traditional classroom setting.
Our program combines independent learning with the guidance, support, and connection of WUSD educators. Students work toward grade-level standards and graduation requirements while following an individualized learning plan designed to support their academic goals.
New Horizon Independent Study is committed to providing students with a supportive learning environment that encourages independence, responsibility, academic growth, and success.
We believe every student’s educational journey is unique. New Horizon provides another pathway for students to stay connected to their education and the Willits Unified School District community while learning in a setting that works for them.
